I have been waiting a long time to paint a waterfall and I finally got a chance.  I thought this area was beautifully shaded creating the extremely dark water in the background (which I used an ancient tube of my favorite color olive green for, I need to replenish that stuff) and the brilliant white water where the sun hits.

This is one of many scenes I will be painting from a trip to the Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick, MA.  It's one of my favorite photos taken as it is full of color and was the most visually interesting area of the sanctuary.

Izzy and Sunbeams (no.62)

8"x7.5"x1.5", oil on masonite

SOLD

Izzy is back and better than ever, now captured during one of her regular sunbathing sessions.  I must admit on this piece that I may have exaggerated her body a TAD but I assure you it is close to actual proportions.  This is one successfully captured pose of many failed ones, as within seconds of her plopping down she would inevitably roll on to her back and stare at me.

Ceramic Turtle Dove Candle and Gold Matchbox (no.60)

8"x8"x1", oil on masonite

SOLD

This is one of the last still lifes taken from my grandmother's house.  The ceramic turtle dove candle and gold matchbox were gifts given to her by her co-workers in early 1980s.
