Izzy (no.47)

8"x8"x1", oil on masonite panel

If you'd like to purchase a print of this painting, please feel free to visit my Etsy shop!

My enormous cat Izzy (AKA Lady Tubbington AKA Queen Eatsalot) situated in her regular lounging area in the kitchen, probably thinking about food.  Before you call the ASPCA on me, I assure you that I've visited a vet recently and this is not my fault...she is just naturally "big boned".  She is on a strict diet despite her constant whining for meals every hour of the day and we've actually placed her food bowl at the bottom of the stairs to force her into exercising.  No noticeable difference yet.  Also I actually attempted to make her smaller here so her figure didn't look cartoonish and exaggerated, but to no avail.  The other day she tried to get through a gate in the house and got her head stuck between the bars.  She is truly like the Chris Farley of cats when it comes to physical comedy.  When she's not annoying the hell of you with her non-stop whining and grumbling to herself for reasons unknown, she is the sweetest most affectionate cat you will ever meet.

This is how it would look framed (actual painting does not include frame):
