Panel shortage, be back soon

Despite some setbacks the last 2 days (not having enough time to paint or panels built to paint on), I am still forging ahead with Paint by Number.  Currently working on a portrait of a sugar bowl that should be up tomorrow and in the meantime hopefully making about 500 panels (give or take a few) ahead of time so I won't be slowed down during the week.

In the meantime here is a timelapse of the sugar bowl (not yet completed), because I know you've all been waiting with bated breath for the next glimpse of my astounding paintings and I don't want to drive anyone to depression or possibly suicide by withholding them (...a little self deprecating humor there...anyone get that?...hello?...)

Still Drying...

Unfortunately, the varnish on the donut peach painting is still slick after having all night to dry (this slightly worries me as I've already ruined a painting with varnish) so the final piece will be up tomorrow.  One thing I've learned from that painting is that leaving some things rough and unfinished can actually be a good thing as opposed to being a nazi about it and perfecting and tightening every detail..For example I like the 3rd to last progress pic on the peach much more than the last..but it is so hard not to try to gloss over things that seem raw and unorderly and get them to a more finished, although many times more dull, state.

I have a new still life photo on the wall but haven't had time to paint it (had to make preparations for shipping the candleholder painting) so I might have to cram it in later tonight.  I don't want to kill myself trying to meet the daily quota, but the challenge is so inviting!  We'll see what happens.

Donut Peach timelapse

I finished a painting of a donut peach but it's still wet, so I thought I'd put up the timelapse pictures for the sake of posting something.  I've decided to take weekends off as I'll go insane if I don't, so donut peach final pic and new still life coming Mon.
